if this
is all there is
and nothing more will come . . .
no, and nothing more is desired . . .
what then?

  1. Your photograph and accompanying words are so evocative that I can feel the cool fingers of melancholy air trailing across my cheek. Absolutely lovely.

  2. hmm…an excellent ponderance, but it leaves me with one of my own…

    if this
    (*sigh* this)
    is all there is…
    and nothing more will come
    (*sigh* nothing),
and yet so much is still desired,
    no, hoped
    then what?

maybe I just need a better view, one that better matches yours…it is a lovely view.

    • Thanks rmp. Yours is also a lovely view, considering that there still remains hope and desire even if unfulfilled. It’s when there is no longer any expectation of fulfillment that the final darkness settles in.
